Uzoma oversees Rosand Group’s M&A and Portfolio Operations group, a team comprising functional experts and consultants across a wide range of operational disciplines who conducts due diligence on prospective acquisitions. He works closely with Rosand Group’s M&A teams to deploy diligence resources and ensure that a comprehensive analysis of each prospective investment is completed. He leads the development of detailed post-acquisition transition, integration and long-term business plans tailored to the needs of the acquired business.Prior to joining Rosand Group, Uzoma served in a variety of management positions as a banker where he championed a team that structured several impactful deals that helped expand the SME/local corporate space within their region of operations. He was also a membership representative for the National Federation of independent businesses (NFIB) – an organization that champions the causes related to small business across the 50 states in the United States.He is a subject matter expert in financial and business risk analysis and assessment, international trade and relationship management as well as a mid-level experience in cybersecurity (governance, risk and compliance). Uzoma trained as Mechanical Engineer with masters in Engineering Management from University of Port Harcourt.

Gamaliel has over two decades of professional experience gained across the public, private/and or social sectors. He has a proven track record of mergers and acquisitions, financial growth management, project management, team-building, and facilitative leadership. A fiercely intuitive thinker with an innate ability to piece together, multiple concepts to resolve complex problems and see the big picture. He has worked on projects involving some Fortune 500 brands like: Google, FaceBook, IBM, and Sage.Prior to Rosand Group, Gamaliel worked at a major investment and real estate development company in the Strategic Advisory, developing investment strategies for institutional clients in addition to managing credit risk across a portfolio of corporate real estate investments. He supported both the execution of acquisitions and investment management initiatives across the company diverse business portfolios.Gamaliel is primarily in charge of Corporate Development and Strategy, and member of Rosand Group’s Investment Committee. He is responsible for all aspects of business strategy and business development at Rosand Group, and is involved in evaluating buy and sell-side opportunities across the firm. He works closely with the firm’s Operations team as well as portfolio company executive management to drive strategic initiatives.He is an Accredited Management Consultant [AMC], Certified John Maxwell Trainer, Mentor at Tony Elumelu Foundation, Fate Foundation, Fellow at Project Pakati and Member of Forbes BLK. He is currently enrolled in an MBA at the NexFord University, USA.

The result is the Advisory and Management team that pilot the affairs of Rosand Group today.Obinna is a serial entrepreneur and has promoted businesses in the Maritime, FinTech, Financial Services, Aviation, Commodity Trading and Real Estate sectors. He has exceptional leadership, relationship management and communication skills. He focuses on the development of Rosand Group’s strategy, drives the evolution and growth of the business and is involved in the selection and monitoring of investments in the investee companies. When it comes to business, he applies principles of swift and thorough diligence, strategic acquisitions, effective management, and driving value through honest, intelligent operational improvement and financial engineering techniques to create stakeholders value. AS-M&A his pioneering vision of combining traditional M&A with operational agility to acquire and scale businesses was the direct result of the combination of these principles.Before venturing into private business, Obinna started his foray into the corporate world as an intern at Halliburton Energy Services-an international oil and gas services firm and later cut his teeth as a service and result oriented professional with a decade of unblemished record in banking. He built a track record of success through sound strategic planning, team building and leadership skills with in-depth experience and competencies in Risk Management, Business Development, International Trade Services, Treasury Operations and Project/Infrastructure Finance. Obinna was born in Nigeria and resides primarily in the UK with his wife and five children. When not serving in his role as CEO of Rosand Group, he is volunteering his leadership skills to support non-profit organizations where he applies the same principles of hard work and dedications that inspire his entrepreneurial life.He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Physics where he graduated atop his class from Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria and MSc Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University of London. Barakat is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in the field of Financial Services. In particular, she works with the firm Sana|Elias, a Swiss based consulting firm with a lean, highly qualified, cross-disciplinary team that gathers knowledge across finance, technology, product development, strategy and innovation consulting.She was a managing member of the Deutsche Bank Global Banking (Corporate Finance and Trade Finance) in Tokyo, Japan. While based in Tokyo, she also worked in emerging and frontier Asian economics. Prior to Deutsche Bank, she worked in the Asset Management division of Morgan Stanley in New York. Vincent is a seasoned professional with over three decades of Legal/ Financial Services Industry experience. He is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. His corporate and commercial practice covers Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions. He has vast experience in complex carve-out and public-to-private transactions in diverse industries.He was at various times, Head of Legal Services and Company Secretary at three commercial banks in Nigeria and currently serves as the Managing Partner of Capstone Solicitors with focus on Mergers and Acquisition advisory services. He currently advises major Investment banks and large financial institutions in leveraged finance, acquisitions, real estate finance, restructuring, refinancing and asset- based lending.Vincent has to his credit a number of awards for professional and academic excellence including as the Best Graduating Student, Faculty of Law Abia State University, 1989. Dries van Wagenberg is an entrepreneur with 30 + years’ experience in importing and distribution as well as in handling cross border transactions involving physical commodities. After graduating from Washington & Lee University in 1977 Dries spent two years in commercial banking then he took over his family’s import and distribution business which he sold in 2000.In 2004 Dries started distributing specialty chemicals with emphasis on fuel treatment (middle distillate fuel in particular). This effort led to the creation of The Right Stuff LLC dba Van Smith ( www.VanSmithCo.com). For the next 12 years Dries focused his distribution efforts on the U.S., Canada and Colombia. Gradually Van Smith’s chemical customers began asking for help sourcing both carbon-based fuels and sustainable alternatives.Today Van Smith’s business is divided into 3 segments as described below and operates internationally but principally on trades in Europe and West Africa. 1. Facilitating commodity transactions with emphasis on energy 2. Distribution of chemicals (both specialty and bulk) 3. Helping ventures in sustainable energy launch their businesses primarily by helping them to raise early-stage capital.
